#1 What is the Services Preparatory Institute (SPI)?
LSPI is a residential institute run by the Government of Maharashtra that prepares young students academically and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA) and a career in the Indian Armed Forces.
Boys from Maharashtra who have passed Class 10 and meet the age, physical fitness, and eligibility criteria set by SPI can apply for admission.
The selection process generally includes a written entrance examination, physical fitness tests, medical examination, and an interview to assess a candidate’s suitability for defence training.
